ok, tumblr. ill be honest. i was gone and trying out wordpress. but ive found that i dont have the time or patience to maintain a separate blog (though i may use that one as a neater portfolio for my writing). so..whats been happening in the time i was away? many things.
things that have happened: UN Week! MDG Summit! Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting! Going to the Waldorf for some kind of special event- twice!! Got to interview Michelle Bachelet! Met Christie Brinkley, Ashton and Demi, Nick Kristof (decidedly, dont hate him), re-met the founder of Twitter (long story), and a bunch of bloggers i love and now love even more in person also camped outside the UN from 5AM and watched the sunrise annd: watched Barack speak at the General Assembly!

things that have not happened: boy choosing me.
for my own good, i had to write it out that way, so I could see it for myself. that honestly ive had an amazing start to fall, with one exception. even though there are days ive let my love life overtake my life perspective- the truth is, im wonderfully blessed and made. so im back. heres more.

countries’ ability to meet their commitment to MDG funding, Lake revealed there have been surprisingly positive trends in giving at the individual level…
“It’s a sign of something positive,” said Lake. “That in spite of a time of tremendous loss, the individual’s capacity for altruism seems to grow more than it had before.”

My parent’s marriage is almost unbelievable by today’s standards. Together for almost 25 years, in love for them all- they are a relic as far as modern marriage is concerned.
my piece for zora-alice is a tribute to my parents love and a testimony for anyone whose ever doubted if they will find their own. please read and share.
